Presenting IFOWS - a bouquet of the finest wines and foods from across the globe! An ideal platform for manufacturers and producers to showcase their products in India. The sixth edition of IFOWS will be held from 17 - 19 January 2008 at InterContinental The Grand, New Delhi, India.
IFOWS is India's largest and most comprehensive platform dedicated to Food and Drinks of all types. With 130 exhibitors from 19 countries, national pavilions from France, Argentina, Italy and South Africa, attendance by 5,287 high-profile visitors and 105 journalists from India and 16 other countries, the fifth edition of IFOWS, held in January 2007, was truly a majestic show, a never-before opportunity for the exhibitors to interact with visitors from all over India and abroad.
The sixth edition will again bring together hoteliers, restaurateurs, bar and pub owners, importers and exporters of foods and drinks, producers, supermarkets, wholesalers, bonded warehouses, distributors, retailers, food consultants, technologists and food and wine enthusiasts to interact with exhibitors from major producer countries from all over the world.
Three days at IFOWS will be marked by intense business negotiations in addition to a host of exciting events including top level guided tasting sessions, product launches, sponsored evenings, informative seminars, competitions and interesting workshops for professionals and wine enthusiasts.

Michéle Shah, renowned wine, food and travel writer, comes to India and will conduct two seminars including one on the famous “Brunello di Montalcino” for professionals and will introduce wine enthusiasts to the wonderful world of wines. Based in Italy for over 30 years, her writing career includes news stories written for specialist websites, such as winespectator.com, decanter.com and a monthly column for winenews.it. Feature articles for specialist papers and magazines, include Wine Spectator, Decanter, Wine Business International, Vini, San Pellegrino, Slowfood, Bibenda, Corriere Vinicolo, Wino Magazyn (Poland) and Der Feinschmecker - Wein Gourmet and most recently Sommelier India and Le Connoisseur - Fine wine in Porto Rico.
She is also a consultant to the Italian wine trade, organizing tasting events and workshops held at Italian trade events, such as Vinitaly, MiWine and Salone del Vino aimed at presenting Italian wines and their producing regions to international wine importers and buyers, as well as organizing on behalf of the regional 'consorzio's wine tastings and educationals on Italian wine and its regions for international press.
She leads professional tastings for Consorzios in promoting their wines abroad to the trade as well as tastings for Decanter magazine to professionals and amateur wine lovers. Michele sits on the panel of professional judges for well-reputed wine award competitions such as Decanter Fine Wine Competition, International Spirit and Wine Competition, both in Italy and abroad. In 2006 Mitchell Beazley published the new and revised edition of Wines of Italy under her authorship. |
