Olive Beach captures the essence and magic of a Mediterranean beachside within the rustic charm of the Olive brand. The first Olive beach opened in Bangalore in November 2005 and was rated last year as one of the ten best restaurants in India across all cities, categories and cuisines.
Now at Olive Beach, Delhi the food has been placed in the expert hands of Chef Tassinari Guiliano's . He has ranked the world over in several gastronomic competitions on numerous occasions.
The restaurant's creative interiors, chic yet friendly atmosphere and unobtrusively stylish service strike the right balance between camaraderie and intimacy. Rough whitewashed walls, adorned by colours of the Mediterranean palette exude a rustic charm. Wall niches anointed with artifacts, inventive flower arrangements and interiors warmed by the incandescence of wax candles, all tot up to the charming feel of the Olive Beach.
Start your meal with the classic Caprese Salad with rounded fresh home made buffalo mozzarella cheese served on fresh slices of tomato with an artistic splash of Balsamic reduction on the side, to help freshen one's palette, followed by a Mediterranean Sea food soup served with prawn and rocket - cooked to perfection contrastingly served with a black bread crouton, especially prepared with squid ink thus giving it a distinct coloring, served with a hint of oil against a classically seasoned tomato dominated base, at just the right consistency and temperature.
The varied choice of appetizers include the seasoned Foie Gras with fig, sweet wine jelly and green apple balsamic reduction; served alongside a Crostini platter which is served creatively on a strip of light brown wood - each presented individually and uniquely, highlighting the distinctness of the different servings -consisting of thin slices of delicately twirled parma and pineapple, the colorful parmigiana eggplant, sesame tuna cooked to perfection, marinated tomato concasse and the strong conventional Taleggio cheese with black grapes.
