Me on Wine: Wine is very elegant and is a symbol of style. It has so many flavours, in contrast with other alcoholic drinks, such that it's easy not to get bored with it. The wine you choose reflects your class.
Me on Wine: Wine does give you a social high and I prefer red to white, because it's less acidic. Wine really frees me up and the hangovers are lighter!
Me on Wine: I love everything that's old: old friends, old times, old manners, old books and ...old wines.
Me on Wine: Wine drinking in India is completely superficial. As far as the youth is concerned, they either want to get drunk or don't. So the ones who get misty eyed about sipping wine are just trying to look "High Society"
Me on Wine: It is aspirational, more than anything else. Even though it is not a part of our culture we have adopted it because we aspire to be a certain way, not that there's anything wrong with it. I personally, feel happy about the advent of this culture in India. I favor wine, since is livens up your spirits, unlike most hard liquors. We are finally learning to appreciate wine in terms of the nuances of wine drinking as well as quality, age and texture.
